Daddy's Girl!

Dearest Daddy, I know I am your little girl, Lol! Not little anymore, but in your heart I will always be right? Growing up you were always calling out my name.. always looking for me! I guess, I always seemed to have my own agenda Lol! I remember when I failed to recognize you when you decided to come home to surprise us. I opened the door, and asked who you were. You looked different, you just came from Saudi Arabia with all the beard and mustache! Lol! I think I burst into tears knowing what I just did! Lol! Daddy, I just want to thank you for all the sacrifices you have done to our family. Thank you for the many years that you have been an OFW just to support our studies. Education, you and mommy would always say is the only inheritance you could give us and it won't be taken away from us. Thank you for the gift of education. I was able to study in Manila because of your trust, confidence and belief in me. Thank you. Thank you for the many opportunities that you have given me an...

Forget about the HOW!

Unexpectedly my post THE CURSED HOW , written on January 8, 2012 has gotten over 2,500 views!!! I say A W E S O M E!  How did it happen?  credit Was it magic? Was it a miracle? Was it meant to be? Was it my doing? Was it planned? Was I able to attract it? How did it happen???   Check it out and see for yourself!!! -click here The cursed HOW 2558 View count Maybe the formula really works: INTENTION  100% + Mechanism (How)  0% = RESULTS  100% If the intention is clear, the mechanism (how) will appear. Somehow, we just need to believe that our RESULTS are ALL in our intention, our belief, our thoughts! Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking. - Marcus Aurelius But, however, technology tricked it I thank Google for making the 2,000+++ views happen for this timely post!  I am deeply grateful to all readers for following MY DAILIES. ...

Mother's Day Lesson! :)

Happy Mother's Day Mommy!!!

credit “Wake up!!! Time to wake up! Mang Terio is here already! You all need to wake up!!!”   I remember Mommy shouting at us during our school years!  Funny, but she did that every morning and we never seemed to learn and get tired of it (it has become a habit- after a while, we needed the "shout" to wake up! lol!).   She’s our time element! Mommy would always tell us to do well in our studies, that education would be the only inheritance we would get from them – and that inheritance would never be taken away from us.   She’d always tell us that her father, our grandfather, would encourage her to just do her best.  She said a 75% grade was A-OK, at least she was able to pass!   He never discouraged her growing up. He was always her number one fan!  Just like how she has been to us, during our school days and even up to now.  She would always make sure we got something for trying our best, even a peso!  Giving us something was her ...

Respect begets RESPECT!

If I really wanted to make a difference I would... openlibrary.org   REFUSE TO LET PEOPLE WALK ON ME The book is simply reminding us that God created us in His own image, unique and priceless in all His creation.  If we allow OTHERS to treat us badly, bully or disrespect us in anyway, we are allowing THEM to belittle our Creator as well. We sometimes mistake HUMILITY and MEEKNESS to be the way out of unhealthy situations,  allowing  users, pushers, bullies and steamroller types to continue to walk on us, because we want their needs to be put first.  NO! If we want to make a difference in this world, we all NEED to learn to RESPECT ourselves and others. I've learned through the years that I needed to speak up for myself.  Until I learn to advocate for myself, people around me will continue to make fun of me; put me down and walk on me. It is a NO, NO! Show me that you are worth emulating; show me that you are perfect and never make mistakes; show me h...

Promise Youself

As I said in my other post, VISION BOARD , as a visual learner, posting notes in my room helps me remember! Here is one that I love, and I love to read it everyday!!! Enjoy!!! Promise Yourself  by Christian D. Larson, 1912   *also known as the Optimist Creed   To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet. To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be t...

My Life's Guidelines

To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh   It has taken me a long time to learn that I just needed to be myself. Growing up, I've had good and bad memoirs and taking it in another point of view, I know it has done me well.  Maybe, I needed all those experiences to allow me to be initiated in mind power! Lol! You see, I have made my own life guidelines as early as my school days!   My LIST:   1) I cannot please anyone, even if I try too, there will always be people who are for me and against me. I will do the right thing and will take criticisms as a learning tool.   2)  Until I learn how to stand and speak for myself, people will continue to bring me down. I need to learn fast!   ...

Getting what you want

All quotes are from this lovely book How To Get What You Want Faith in Self is the starting point of all successful achievement. When you know for sure that you can do it, you can get anything out of life that you want, providing only that you do not violate the rights of others. If you want to rise in the world, then prepare to receive that which you earnestly desire. Whatever we want can be ours if we will pay the price and constantly move to the direction of our goal. There is one thing that the Creator gave us at birth which He reserved for human being alike- the Power of Choice . He gave us the power to become what we want to become. There is no such thing as something for nothing. Give yourself, your time, talents, energies, money to make this world a better place in which to live. Then see how surely the world has become better for you. NAMASTE. -day 122 Photos: Gallup, New Mexico, USA

The Colors of Spring

I am pleased to know I can always start anew. To change my color... so I can change my world. To count my blessings, instead of sheep. And to be always in control... as I allow God to blossom in me.  NAMASTE. -day 121 Photos: While walking around the neighborhood Gallup, New Mexico, USA

Doing the Right Thing

I have a high regard for doctors.  In my mind, because of the years of education that they had, I feel they could not go wrong. Plus, I feel  like it's a powerful field to be into. I have full trust in their decision-making capabilities, in their skill to make people well, and in their generosity to share their knowledge. It saddens me to know that not all doctors are like that in the real world.  But, glad to know that doctors I know are commendable, service-oriented and real givers. I read an article from Ron White 's emailed newsletter about Integrity. It's an eye-opener, not just in the medicine field but in all fields of life.  Read on...   Zig Ziglar on Integrity by Zig Ziglar Major surgery requires not only a skilled surgeon, but also a number of skilled assistants to make certain that everything happens as it should. They function as a team. No one person, regardless of how brilliant he or she is, could pull off a major operation alone. A new he...

Homecoming

Home is where the heart is… As we search for happiness.. we ran to all sides of the world.. in our hearts there will always be a place we call home.. Place where we can be freely – ourselves Place where what matters most is peace and love.. Place where we can rest our wings.. our souls.. Homecoming Been flying the high and lows As all seasons just come and go Where mortals may fear to tread Aisles to hell which every man dread Flying closer towards the light of ‘morrow.   Wings spread as if in solemn meditation Upon the earth below and wild vegetation Soaring to heavens where souls will climb one day Or descend to hell below of lesser god’s home maybe But still these wings casting shadows in mock condemnation. In the seemingly endless flights to emptiness Wings drooped eyes closed in harried weariness Yet soaring once more to where angels live And descend to hell where fallen stars saved In the final act of prayer in the air there’s stillness. One soul in its final act of...

Wish I was home

Since it's Holy Week, I am reminded of Visita Iglesia memories. Our family would usually visit churches on a Maundy Thursday night. We would pray the rosary while in the car and then visit one church after the other in our town. It was the best time of the week for me since I would always have my three wishes ready to be included in my prayers - and that would be to all of the churches we would visit! Funny, I was just reminded again of what I was praying for the whole time, and through all those years!!! - a boyfriend! It seemed so shallow, trivial and hollow! But, hey, it was supposed to be just between me and God! It was a long persistence and courtship too! I persisted and courted God for say... 4 years? (20-24) Real long time! and then He finally gave in! LOL! .. and you know what? This made me believe that all wishes come true! -in His time. There are no NO answers but more on please-just-WAIT answer! It took Him 4 years to grant my wish because He wanted me to grow up first,...

Emptiness

“Our hearts won’t rest until it rest in God.” - St. Augustine   The feeling of barrenness and desolation persist because we all have a deep down emptiness that can only be filled by God -like a God-shaped vacuum that only God can fill.                                                                              The process of unmasking and healing are tiring but needed if we want to set forth a new journey, a new life. When we are open, honest and trusting, we'll begin to appreciate and comprehend the spring of God’s water welling up in us- God’s purpose, God’s will in our lives...including the emptiness...

...in my bridge

I feel like I am currently in a "bridge". My life hanging at the moment. My life on hold. I was supposed to continue on with my next 30 day challenge - and I still do, I still TRY to eat less, I still TRY not to eat AFTER 6. But, I haven't weighed myself yet.. so I will update my THE 90-DAY CHALLENGE on the 90th day!  I will post my final weight results here on April 8! I have a lot of things cooking up in my mind. But, due to what-have-you reasons, it all needs to wait. God knows my plans and my dreams, and I am just holding on to HIM. For the mean time, in my "bridge", I am loving the opportunities that are coming my way. I am loving my ambiance, the people I work with, friends I have online and offline; everything and everyone, I appreciate and love! I just feel blessed - and I hope you feel as blessed too! But, I am still here in my "bridge", and I wait. Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco, USA Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo, Japan ...
