Getting what you want

All quotes are from this lovely book
How To Get What You Want

Faith in Self is the starting point of all successful achievement. When you know for sure that you can do it, you can get anything out of life that you want, providing only that you do not violate the rights of others.

If you want to rise in the world, then prepare to receive that which you earnestly desire.

Whatever we want can be ours if we will pay the price and constantly move to the direction of our goal.

There is one thing that the Creator gave us at birth which He reserved for human being alike- the Power of Choice. He gave us the power to become what we want to become.

There is no such thing as something for nothing. Give yourself, your time, talents, energies, money to make this world a better place in which to live. Then see how surely the world has become better for you.

  4. Faith is the first element in achieving something. As what the Bible says, "faith without works is dead." Be ready what you want to receive for what you've asked for. And the proper attitude is to be contented what God has provided you. We've to devise any resources to get what we want and that's the ability to accomplish those things - the inherent power of making a choice. You're right. And the last, recompensing of what you work for by consecrating of what you've had for others to be happy too.

  5. I love it!! ;) yeah first of all is always faith in yourself that you can do it, I know a lot of those who graduated with honors that never performed good in the real world because they thought their grades are enough but actually not. We will experience a lot of failures in life, but we must have faith to fight back and stand up again..

  6. GOD grants us what we NEED...
HE never gives us what we WANT.
We may not receive the blessings now but
in HIS time, we will assume whatever we deserve.

  9. Faith is the beginning of successful achievement so it is important that we know where to put our faith - in God first and then on ourselves! With that combination we will never go wrong!! I love your photos esp. the bottom one!

  12. You got to believe in yourself first and foremost so you'd be able to get the things you want whether material things or not. ^_^

Redirecting Thoughts!

Sometimes, we forget to take control of our minds. There are times that we just do a lot of things out of habit. We do a lot of things unconsciously. These days, whenever I find myself “thinking”, I am making sure I am thinking productive things. What will I do next?; What are my plans today?;How will I go about today’s activities? If alone in the car, driving, I’d deliberately turn on the positive, encouraging radio station, since their kind of music is good for the soul. I could listen and know that it is all good. As much as possible, I try not to think of negative or bad things. Why? Because I’ve proven that whenever I do that, it boomerangs on me! There was this one time when I felt so pissed off with my husband that my mind was just creating all these negative vibes! Asked what happened next? The more my husband got pissed off. I wasn’t even saying anything, it was all mind power, and it hasn’t done any good! So I experimented the next time it happened, ins...

Vitamins for the Mind

Vitamins for the Mind   by Jim Rohn Results At the end of each day, you should play back the tapes of your performance. The results should either applaud you or prod you. The greatest form of maturity is at harvest time. This is when we must learn how to reap without complaint if the amounts are small and how to reap without apology if the amounts are big. Life asks us to make measurable progress in reasonable time. That's why they make those fourth grade chairs so small—so you won't fit in them at age 25! There are some things you don't have to know how it works, only that it works. While some people are studying the roots, others are picking the fruit. It just depends on which end of this you want to get in on.    "Vitamins for the Mind" is a weekly sampling of original quotes on a specific topic taken from The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn. The burgundy hardbound book with gold-foil lettering is a collection of...

Jack of All Trades

My parents gave me all the opportunities to try and do different activities while growing up. I did ballet. I had swimming lessons ; I joined theatre arts ; I had piano recitals ; I learned bicycling; I played volleyball; I was one of the editors in our school paper. I was even a member of University Quiz Bee contest called "Pautakan", representing our college for 3 years! In high school, I admired students who could do Impromptu Speeches. You see, I could memorize long scripts, I could compose essays but to speak my mind in a contest? Whoa! I guess, I carried that thought - wishful thinking with me, even after college, that it led me to become a member of Toastmaster's International in Makati, Philippines and then here in Gallup, NM, USA! Do I still know how to ballet dance? Mmmm... Lol! Swim? Mmmm... not where I can't touch the floor or sand, OK?  hehe Play piano? Mmmm... I can do two piano pieces? Will that count? hahaha Act? Oh yes! Could...
