Wish I was home

Since it's Holy Week, I am reminded of Visita Iglesia memories. Our family would usually visit churches on a Maundy Thursday night. We would pray the rosary while in the car and then visit one church after the other in our town.

It was the best time of the week for me since I would always have my three wishes ready to be included in my prayers - and that would be to all of the churches we would visit!

Funny, I was just reminded again of what I was praying for the whole time, and through all those years!!! - a boyfriend!

It seemed so shallow, trivial and hollow! But, hey, it was supposed to be just between me and God! It was a long persistence and courtship too! I persisted and courted God for say... 4 years? (20-24) Real long time! and then He finally gave in! LOL!

.. and you know what? This made me believe that all wishes come true! -in His time. There are no NO answers but more on please-just-WAIT answer!

It took Him 4 years to grant my wish because He wanted me to grow up first, in all aspects! He molded, shaped and pruned me first- and when the magical moment came! - it felt good!

What was mysterious was God granted me my wish on a Holy Week! It shouldn't be a surprise anymore, right? and YES, that boyfriend became my husband in no time!

Holy week celebration was never the same again since coming here in the US. We do have similar commemorations too, but it's just different.

I miss Philippines. I miss home.

  6. I find your story very magical. I have prayed for the same thing, so I know that your reason/wish wasn't a shallow one. I prayed for the man of my dreams, and I met him almost a year after. We are going steady now, and will be celebrating our 5th year soon. =)

  9. There's no place like home as everyone says, but even if you're not here in the PH, just take some time to reflect and pray. You will feel peace within and it's a feeling close to home. =)

  11. God really answers our prayers. He even gave this Brunei job for me even if I didn't ask. But I know there's a lot of reason why. And for staying here away from home,I knew He really had the reasons why. And I am so thankful. I will praise HIS name forever.

Still got one prayer He keep from me that I always prayed. A lifetime partner. ^^

Outside the Box!

Welcome to WEALTHY TUESDAYS! Money-Matters!   Let’s me face the fact.  The fact is anything can happen.  Everything is possible and possibilities are infinite. Good. Wait! Everything? Is possible? Infinite possibilities? Yes. That’s correct. (It is only our mind that sets limits; try pushing your mind beyond the box!) I learned from seminars I’ve attended in the past that  “If the intention is clear, then the mechanism will appear.” Formula: Intention 100% + Mechanism 0% = Achieved Goal 100% If my intention, (belief, purpose, faith) is clear then the mechanism (activity, action, system) will appear! ~ and that will make me achieve my goal! 100% intention that is ALL IT TAKES! Wow! Then, let me be clear: “I want financial wealth; I want more money, so I could be of more service to people esp. to my family, relatives and friends.” and “I want financial wealth; I want more money, so I could enjoy more of life’s grandeu...

Say IT!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/70285332@N00/3032368925 "Show what you feel in relationships. If you feel like crying, cry your eyes out! When you feel like laughing, laugh your eyes out. Scream when you want to scream. Roll on the floor. Surprise everybody!" "Please don’t wait to communicate your feelings!" This came from Leo Buscaglia 's book Living, Loving and Learning . (click his name to know more about it.) For now, you would have known that I am a fan! Yes, I am! Just Say IT! I hate it when my husband will not talk to me because I did something wrong! I do not know why he needs to pamper the pain!!! I am his exact opposite because I just simply communicate what I feel, well, tactless at times but, I need the communication part, so that when I’m done with it, then it’s done.   Just LET ME KNOW! There are people who are afraid to communicate their feelings to the point that instead of directly telling "what's bugging them" with the particular...

Imbalance

For years, I’ve never had a credit card. A friend literally shouted at me when I looked at the application form. He said, “DON’T YOU DARE APPLY!!!” and so I didn’t. I didn’t even try to mind  what effects they were trying to tell me if I own one.  Come 2007, in the land of milk and honey?!, I was forced to apply for a credit card. “Credit cards are needed to have credit scores”; “It is a must here!”; “Everyone’s got a credit card!”; “No we don’t carry cash, we carry cards”. So I did get one, nope, two, nope, three, nope… OK, to date I have 8 cards!!!!  Yes, I’ve been managing my accounts really well, never had a month without paying, at least the minimum amount. Yes, credit cards made us survive financial turbulence! Yes, credit cards made me say YES, YES, YES!  Since coming here in the land of the free?!, never had we stayed home for long breaks.. we’ve travelled and travelled far to beautiful places, checked in to different hotels, ate, bought, spent… NO budgeting,...
