Dear Majoy,

I remember feeling the fear just thinking that I may one day find myself without someone who will be there with me for life. Becoming single forever. Living alone. On my own. The fear, as I now analyzed was coming from wrong perceptions, and my own concept of single blessedness.

I was 26 when I got married.

Now, it had been 9 years! And guess what?

I am actually looking back and asking myself.. what if I..., what if I hadn’t found the man I would marry, what if I am still single? and am actually excited on the what -ifs! haha.

Coming here, seeing all the possibilities, looking outside the box, Majoy, there is really soooo much more!

Not that I am wanting to be single again.

OK, for a day or two, would really love to be.. hehe see, no kids, no kiddy hubby too! hehe just plain old me spending my time just for me.. kinda all ME, ME, ME!

Had I not married at 26, I know I would be going through the same way you are going through now.. but then again, as you said, in a way you were surprisingly happy of the possibilities.. single and open to see what’s ahead.

I remember, I was once told, the only way for me to see him is for me to ask myself what I really want my man to be.. 3 things.. then, BE that. We attract our thoughts. What we think, we create.

It may take time, but when we become who we really are, we will begin to do what we love to do, and then we will have our heart’s desire.

Believe it.

In the mean time my friend, smile, you have the world in your hands!:)

  1. same here .i was thinking what would I be without a husband .I got married at age 31, divorced at age 33 and got married again at age 37. I never dreamed of growing old alone, so for sure, i will keep marrying again and again just in case.

  2. spending time with oneself is very beautiful. i've always liked it because it makes me connect with myself more. there's just something about being alone that makes me happy, but it makes me long for people i love as well. :)

  3. Sometimes things are better left untouched or unaltered. But since we got the concept of mutual existence, being married can be a bliss where you don't entertain an ounce of being alone for even just a split of a second.

    Great thoughts here!

  4. Aww. Sometimes I feel that way, I want to be with myself. Before it was just me, hanging out with friends, buying girly stuff. Reminiscing the old days huh.
But I'm not married yet! I have a baby boy who's going 2 years old and his dad with me.
I wonder how will I look like when I get married? Hehe :)
Thanks for this inspirational post. :)

  6. Yes I have the world in my hands! ;) Wow, you were worrying being a alone at a very young age, funny coz since HIgh school I always have a boyfriend till my working days in Makati. Career lead me to this kind of lifestyle i have now and now I'm 35 and still single and still feels like I'm 25 and not even rushing to settle down yet. I still want to enjoy life being single and financially independent and having a boyfriend! Haha ;))

  7. I think it's important that people feel already complete before getting marriage. We don't need marriage to feel complete. We are already complete :)

Marriage is there to further enhance our existence, not to complete our existence.

  10. as long as you live each day focused on God's promise of life everlasting, then everything here on earth becomes non-essential, including marriage ;)

  11. Reading the first few lines I really wanted to see your husband's expression about you wanting to be single again (for only a day or two, of course.lelz).

I guess, I have to enjoy life the way most single (and people who would want to be single again) should. Hehehe

  12. Spending time for one self is just FINE...
Just fine to think but maybe difficult to do.
I am married for almost seventeen years and
I want to be alone with myself sometimes...
but knowing that I have my husband who's
so dependable and my kids who bring me joy
beyond compare... i preferred to be around them
    the rest of my life.

  13. I could have imagine what's life would be if I'm still single. Probably dating 2 or 3 women perhaps. But there would come a time no matter how fulfilled you are in life, you desire to spend the rest of your life with someone, raise your own family and grow old together. ^_^

Outside the Box!

Welcome to WEALTHY TUESDAYS! Money-Matters!   Let’s me face the fact.  The fact is anything can happen.  Everything is possible and possibilities are infinite. Good. Wait! Everything? Is possible? Infinite possibilities? Yes. That’s correct. (It is only our mind that sets limits; try pushing your mind beyond the box!) I learned from seminars I’ve attended in the past that  “If the intention is clear, then the mechanism will appear.” Formula: Intention 100% + Mechanism 0% = Achieved Goal 100% If my intention, (belief, purpose, faith) is clear then the mechanism (activity, action, system) will appear! ~ and that will make me achieve my goal! 100% intention that is ALL IT TAKES! Wow! Then, let me be clear: “I want financial wealth; I want more money, so I could be of more service to people esp. to my family, relatives and friends.” and “I want financial wealth; I want more money, so I could enjoy more of life’s grandeu...

The cursed HOW

In my blog post “ Powerful Thoughts ”, I have written how powerful our mind is and whatever we create in our minds, if we believe, it will achieve! How-To-Request-A-Mortgage-Rate-Adjustment-F Honestly, I did not have any idea as to HOW it will happen – (flashback, my solution for our family to be together and not have my husband work as an OFW anymore was to migrate).  HOW? that was the question!   All I have was a belief that it will happen,  158Belief.jpg and for me to mentally picture what I want to happen, I have posted dollar bills,  talk incessantly about going to America someday,  kept a dollar in my wallet just to attract it…       What else? I went to DFA in Lucena to get our passports!  That was how determined I was! epass_trans_small-1.png My aunt asked me “where are you going Gi?”,   I told her to DFA, to get our passports. She asked, “Why?”  ...

Say IT!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/70285332@N00/3032368925 "Show what you feel in relationships. If you feel like crying, cry your eyes out! When you feel like laughing, laugh your eyes out. Scream when you want to scream. Roll on the floor. Surprise everybody!" "Please don’t wait to communicate your feelings!" This came from Leo Buscaglia 's book Living, Loving and Learning . (click his name to know more about it.) For now, you would have known that I am a fan! Yes, I am! Just Say IT! I hate it when my husband will not talk to me because I did something wrong! I do not know why he needs to pamper the pain!!! I am his exact opposite because I just simply communicate what I feel, well, tactless at times but, I need the communication part, so that when I’m done with it, then it’s done.   Just LET ME KNOW! There are people who are afraid to communicate their feelings to the point that instead of directly telling "what's bugging them" with the particular...
