To thine own self be true!

OK.

Last January 8, 2012,I challenged myself to lose weight!

Determined, inspired and committed, I was able to lose 9 lbs in a month.

See my results after a month (February 8, 2012) here.

I was still eating 3x a day, still with rice (just less), meat (chicken, pork, beef), fish and veggies.
Fruits, nuts and pop corns during break times and I exercise!

The problem is, I need to keep up, I need to continue!!!

I have 10 more pounds to lose and I am faltering!!!

All fattening foods just taste good!

Look at all these Filipino foods!...

How can one resist eating these without RICE and more RICE!!!???

How will I be able to control myself from eating and eating and eating??

The thinking part of me says "We live only once, enjoy!"
The emotional part of me says "Be happy! Life is meant for happiness! Food makes you happy!"
The spiritual part of me says "Those who won't work, won't eat. You work, you eat!
The physical part of me says "Love your body, who else will? Love your fats!!!"

Oh my!

Temptations justified.

Unless I decide and commit, I will always make excuses!

Not good.

NAMASTE.

Outside the Box!

Welcome to WEALTHY TUESDAYS! Money-Matters!   Let’s me face the fact.  The fact is anything can happen.  Everything is possible and possibilities are infinite. Good. Wait! Everything? Is possible? Infinite possibilities? Yes. That’s correct. (It is only our mind that sets limits; try pushing your mind beyond the box!) I learned from seminars I’ve attended in the past that  “If the intention is clear, then the mechanism will appear.” Formula: Intention 100% + Mechanism 0% = Achieved Goal 100% If my intention, (belief, purpose, faith) is clear then the mechanism (activity, action, system) will appear! ~ and that will make me achieve my goal! 100% intention that is ALL IT TAKES! Wow! Then, let me be clear: “I want financial wealth; I want more money, so I could be of more service to people esp. to my family, relatives and friends.” and “I want financial wealth; I want more money, so I could enjoy more of life’s grandeu...

The cursed HOW

In my blog post “ Powerful Thoughts ”, I have written how powerful our mind is and whatever we create in our minds, if we believe, it will achieve! How-To-Request-A-Mortgage-Rate-Adjustment-F Honestly, I did not have any idea as to HOW it will happen – (flashback, my solution for our family to be together and not have my husband work as an OFW anymore was to migrate).  HOW? that was the question!   All I have was a belief that it will happen,  158Belief.jpg and for me to mentally picture what I want to happen, I have posted dollar bills,  talk incessantly about going to America someday,  kept a dollar in my wallet just to attract it…       What else? I went to DFA in Lucena to get our passports!  That was how determined I was! epass_trans_small-1.png My aunt asked me “where are you going Gi?”,   I told her to DFA, to get our passports. She asked, “Why?”  ...

Imbalance

For years, I’ve never had a credit card. A friend literally shouted at me when I looked at the application form. He said, “DON’T YOU DARE APPLY!!!” and so I didn’t. I didn’t even try to mind  what effects they were trying to tell me if I own one.  Come 2007, in the land of milk and honey?!, I was forced to apply for a credit card. “Credit cards are needed to have credit scores”; “It is a must here!”; “Everyone’s got a credit card!”; “No we don’t carry cash, we carry cards”. So I did get one, nope, two, nope, three, nope… OK, to date I have 8 cards!!!!  Yes, I’ve been managing my accounts really well, never had a month without paying, at least the minimum amount. Yes, credit cards made us survive financial turbulence! Yes, credit cards made me say YES, YES, YES!  Since coming here in the land of the free?!, never had we stayed home for long breaks.. we’ve travelled and travelled far to beautiful places, checked in to different hotels, ate, bought, spent… NO budgeting,...
