I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy
for the rest of your life. -Rita Rudner

(I’m not a guru, I'm not an expert but here is my answer to the following question...)

 QUESTION

"What is it like being married?"
  ANSWER

The first two months were a bliss. After that, I don't know. LOL!

Well, it was mainly because, Dennis, needed to leave the country two months after tying the knot!

So, my marriage arrangement was different.

Every after nine months (Dennis' contract), I would be at the airport to pick him up and then after three months he would be away again.

For years it was just in the honeymoon stage
and some reality stage.

That was our cycle.

We were never in the other deep stages until after almost eight years of being married.

What is it like being married?
It's like a roller coaster;

It's a kaleidoscope of colors including black, gray and white;

It could be heaven or hell, which ever you make of it;

It's being in two opposite poles, until you find your balance and middle way;

It's experiencing LIFE in a different perspective;

 It's the vow.

  5. Marriage is ordained of God. The Bible is plainly stating the very purpose of marriage. And getting to be married is an eternal covenant with God. It is spiritually known as the new and everlasting covenant of marriage. RandomThoughts! has already covenanted with the Lord sometime in 1980 and until now it is still in effect for time and eternity.

  16. I will surely take note of this when I get married! I always like the Wow factor and with my boyfriend of almost 5 years I travel to US every quarter to be with him for 6 weeks max and meet in other countries for a few days during those months I am not in the US. So guess it won't change much when we get married coz there are those like you who thrive in this arrangement!

  21. My marriage is fully of mystery. We separated after one month we got married because I have to return in my origin country. Then I applied for my new visa I'm here we were 3 years married this year. No fights, we argue but only silly things. Most of the time we're happy and contented. Marriage and having kids are biggest sacrifice I've done in the past and I am happy of my decision to get married with the man I truly love. The man who is the father of my child.

  22. It's a commitment and a vow...
    I've seen this kind of arrangements.. my parents.
    My mom used to sacrificed longer, it was every 2 years..
    But you see they're still together now, after my dad stopped working from overseas.
    You just have to ignore temptations, and get a stronger resolve for yourself. :)

Redirecting Thoughts!

Sometimes, we forget to take control of our minds. There are times that we just do a lot of things out of habit. We do a lot of things unconsciously. These days, whenever I find myself “thinking”, I am making sure I am thinking productive things. What will I do next?; What are my plans today?;How will I go about today’s activities? If alone in the car, driving, I’d deliberately turn on the positive, encouraging radio station, since their kind of music is good for the soul. I could listen and know that it is all good. As much as possible, I try not to think of negative or bad things. Why? Because I’ve proven that whenever I do that, it boomerangs on me! There was this one time when I felt so pissed off with my husband that my mind was just creating all these negative vibes! Asked what happened next? The more my husband got pissed off. I wasn’t even saying anything, it was all mind power, and it hasn’t done any good! So I experimented the next time it happened, ins...

Vitamins for the Mind

Vitamins for the Mind   by Jim Rohn Results At the end of each day, you should play back the tapes of your performance. The results should either applaud you or prod you. The greatest form of maturity is at harvest time. This is when we must learn how to reap without complaint if the amounts are small and how to reap without apology if the amounts are big. Life asks us to make measurable progress in reasonable time. That's why they make those fourth grade chairs so small—so you won't fit in them at age 25! There are some things you don't have to know how it works, only that it works. While some people are studying the roots, others are picking the fruit. It just depends on which end of this you want to get in on.    "Vitamins for the Mind" is a weekly sampling of original quotes on a specific topic taken from The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn. The burgundy hardbound book with gold-foil lettering is a collection of...

Jack of All Trades

My parents gave me all the opportunities to try and do different activities while growing up. I did ballet. I had swimming lessons ; I joined theatre arts ; I had piano recitals ; I learned bicycling; I played volleyball; I was one of the editors in our school paper. I was even a member of University Quiz Bee contest called "Pautakan", representing our college for 3 years! In high school, I admired students who could do Impromptu Speeches. You see, I could memorize long scripts, I could compose essays but to speak my mind in a contest? Whoa! I guess, I carried that thought - wishful thinking with me, even after college, that it led me to become a member of Toastmaster's International in Makati, Philippines and then here in Gallup, NM, USA! Do I still know how to ballet dance? Mmmm... Lol! Swim? Mmmm... not where I can't touch the floor or sand, OK?  hehe Play piano? Mmmm... I can do two piano pieces? Will that count? hahaha Act? Oh yes! Could...
