Respect begets RESPECT!

REFUSE TO LET PEOPLE WALK ON ME

The book is simply reminding us that God created us in His own image, unique and priceless in all His creation.

If we allow OTHERS to treat us badly, bully or disrespect us in anyway, we are allowing THEM to belittle our Creator as well.

We sometimes mistake HUMILITY and MEEKNESS to be the way out of unhealthy situations,
allowing  users, pushers, bullies and steamroller types to continue to walk on us, because we want their needs to be put first.

NO! If we want to make a difference in this world, we all NEED to learn to RESPECT ourselves and others.

I've learned through the years that I needed to speak up for myself.

Until I learn to advocate for myself, people around me will continue to make fun of me; put me down and walk on me.

It is a NO, NO!

Show me that you are worth emulating; show me that you are perfect and never make mistakes; show me how good you really are... until you do so, best to choose your words.

I will respect you for your beliefs, for who you are and for what you have achieved. BUT that stops there, because I REFUSE to let you walk on ME!

I will speak my mind, and will let you know it is uncalled for.

Let us learn our lessons together.

Until then, RESPECT BEGETS RESPECT.

NAMASTE.

  3. This is so true! I've experienced being bullied before. But everything turned out for the better when I finally got the courage to stand up for myself.

  4. Respect begets respect. It's sad that people seem to forget about the basic value of respect. Even sadder that some people don't respect their own self. Everybody should learn to know their worth, not for pride, but for respect. =)

  9. Sometimes we have to choose out battles. I always stand for what I believe in and almost always that stand gets me into trouble. I mean a lot of people felt intimidated because I speak my mind so my bro want me to mellow down 'coz he said God gave me a second chance to life and he said I must enjoy it and forget being right.

    1. ... maybe to be in moderation always is the best. We can't afford to be put down, no justification for that!.. but we also need to humble ourselves esp if we are in the wrong.

Outside the Box!

Welcome to WEALTHY TUESDAYS! Money-Matters!   Let’s me face the fact.  The fact is anything can happen.  Everything is possible and possibilities are infinite. Good. Wait! Everything? Is possible? Infinite possibilities? Yes. That’s correct. (It is only our mind that sets limits; try pushing your mind beyond the box!) I learned from seminars I’ve attended in the past that  “If the intention is clear, then the mechanism will appear.” Formula: Intention 100% + Mechanism 0% = Achieved Goal 100% If my intention, (belief, purpose, faith) is clear then the mechanism (activity, action, system) will appear! ~ and that will make me achieve my goal! 100% intention that is ALL IT TAKES! Wow! Then, let me be clear: “I want financial wealth; I want more money, so I could be of more service to people esp. to my family, relatives and friends.” and “I want financial wealth; I want more money, so I could enjoy more of life’s grandeu...

The cursed HOW

In my blog post “ Powerful Thoughts ”, I have written how powerful our mind is and whatever we create in our minds, if we believe, it will achieve! How-To-Request-A-Mortgage-Rate-Adjustment-F Honestly, I did not have any idea as to HOW it will happen – (flashback, my solution for our family to be together and not have my husband work as an OFW anymore was to migrate).  HOW? that was the question!   All I have was a belief that it will happen,  158Belief.jpg and for me to mentally picture what I want to happen, I have posted dollar bills,  talk incessantly about going to America someday,  kept a dollar in my wallet just to attract it…       What else? I went to DFA in Lucena to get our passports!  That was how determined I was! epass_trans_small-1.png My aunt asked me “where are you going Gi?”,   I told her to DFA, to get our passports. She asked, “Why?”  ...

Imbalance

For years, I’ve never had a credit card. A friend literally shouted at me when I looked at the application form. He said, “DON’T YOU DARE APPLY!!!” and so I didn’t. I didn’t even try to mind  what effects they were trying to tell me if I own one.  Come 2007, in the land of milk and honey?!, I was forced to apply for a credit card. “Credit cards are needed to have credit scores”; “It is a must here!”; “Everyone’s got a credit card!”; “No we don’t carry cash, we carry cards”. So I did get one, nope, two, nope, three, nope… OK, to date I have 8 cards!!!!  Yes, I’ve been managing my accounts really well, never had a month without paying, at least the minimum amount. Yes, credit cards made us survive financial turbulence! Yes, credit cards made me say YES, YES, YES!  Since coming here in the land of the free?!, never had we stayed home for long breaks.. we’ve travelled and travelled far to beautiful places, checked in to different hotels, ate, bought, spent… NO budgeting,...
