Negative People

C a T c H  m y  T h O u G h T s !

(I’m not a guru, I'm not an expert but here is my answer to this scenario...)

 SCENARIO
A friend confronts you and tells you that according to PEOPLE
you are like this (NEGATIVE 1) and like that (NEGATIVE 2), how will you respond?

  ANSWER
My response will be to ask, “What about you, do you feel the same way?”

This way we can start a conversation, we can communicate.
" Let me know you, let me know your thoughts about me…
Let us not talk about what OTHERS are saying about me…
let’s just talk about you and me".

This way, we can settle whatever differences we have and work on our relationship.

I’ve learned early in life that I will never ever be able to please everyone;
there will always be people saying something good and something bad about me,
not that they don’t matter because they do, especially if there is something to learn that I may have missed
or until now, has not learned yet.

The thing is we can always choose our battle, learn our lessons and move on.

  2. in the end Gemma in life you are only answerable to your self and to your God . all through out of our life we will hear a lot of negative comments about our self , but be very careful who those people who tell you bad stuff . Most people are jealous , jealous of what you have and jealous of what you are capable to do . If they are not going to make me rich in life and in spirit i really don't give a damn of what they say that's my philosophy . To make life drama free don't worry about what they are saying just smile It's like how can you have a positive life if you have a negative mind and I do believe in that .

  4. Well if your friend is a true friend, no need for him or her to confront you about people telling negative things about you, because if that friend knows you deep inside then she or he will defend you if those people say negative things which aren't true about you...or just ignore it...and if it's true your friend should be the first person on earth to know your weaknesses...you can't please everybody...and besides its not essential to please people not unless you owe them big time...

  5. As long as you know yourself and you have that sincerity in your heart and always have good intention...then you are at peace with yourself...don't invest emotions to people who don't deserve it...not unless you have a switch personality or kind a lost then that something you really have to work out with yourself...seriously.

    1. Great point there buds! "Don't invest emotions to people who don't deserve it" - I love this, we do have the power to choose, to say NO, and to identify who our real friends are! Great advise for sure a lot will learn from this! Thanks! :)

Redirecting Thoughts!

Sometimes, we forget to take control of our minds. There are times that we just do a lot of things out of habit. We do a lot of things unconsciously. These days, whenever I find myself “thinking”, I am making sure I am thinking productive things. What will I do next?; What are my plans today?;How will I go about today’s activities? If alone in the car, driving, I’d deliberately turn on the positive, encouraging radio station, since their kind of music is good for the soul. I could listen and know that it is all good. As much as possible, I try not to think of negative or bad things. Why? Because I’ve proven that whenever I do that, it boomerangs on me! There was this one time when I felt so pissed off with my husband that my mind was just creating all these negative vibes! Asked what happened next? The more my husband got pissed off. I wasn’t even saying anything, it was all mind power, and it hasn’t done any good! So I experimented the next time it happened, ins...

Vitamins for the Mind

Vitamins for the Mind   by Jim Rohn Results At the end of each day, you should play back the tapes of your performance. The results should either applaud you or prod you. The greatest form of maturity is at harvest time. This is when we must learn how to reap without complaint if the amounts are small and how to reap without apology if the amounts are big. Life asks us to make measurable progress in reasonable time. That's why they make those fourth grade chairs so small—so you won't fit in them at age 25! There are some things you don't have to know how it works, only that it works. While some people are studying the roots, others are picking the fruit. It just depends on which end of this you want to get in on.    "Vitamins for the Mind" is a weekly sampling of original quotes on a specific topic taken from The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn. The burgundy hardbound book with gold-foil lettering is a collection of...

Jack of All Trades

My parents gave me all the opportunities to try and do different activities while growing up. I did ballet. I had swimming lessons ; I joined theatre arts ; I had piano recitals ; I learned bicycling; I played volleyball; I was one of the editors in our school paper. I was even a member of University Quiz Bee contest called "Pautakan", representing our college for 3 years! In high school, I admired students who could do Impromptu Speeches. You see, I could memorize long scripts, I could compose essays but to speak my mind in a contest? Whoa! I guess, I carried that thought - wishful thinking with me, even after college, that it led me to become a member of Toastmaster's International in Makati, Philippines and then here in Gallup, NM, USA! Do I still know how to ballet dance? Mmmm... Lol! Swim? Mmmm... not where I can't touch the floor or sand, OK?  hehe Play piano? Mmmm... I can do two piano pieces? Will that count? hahaha Act? Oh yes! Could...
