WELCOME TO HEALTHY MONDAYS!

Yes, I have decided to make every Monday post to be all about “Health Matters”.

Two weeks ago, I wrote The Challenge. I was actually browsing through my old blog posts and saw “an unfinished business” with how I was handling my health!

Knowing “Health is Wealth” was not making me any good, so I have decided to start anew, made a commitment by writing it and decided to Just do it!

I will be sharing my 30-day results on the first week of February! :)

For now here’s your TAKE-OUT.

You know what I mean…

NAMASTE.

  1. Huhuhuhuhu I think I will still take it. I love junkfood especially McDonald's fries and any brand of potato crisps. But on the flip side, I'm not a fan of sweets and meat so I guess that's good. Hehe Thanks for following my blog! :D

  2. I shouldn't say anything about health matters to people because I struggle myself how to control what I eat. But I think that anything in moderation is alright. I also believe that exercise is a must because it doesn't just help us lose weight, it also makes us feel better and stronger.

  3. I'm not expert in disposing junks, left-overs, or any waste or garbage for that matter. I leave everything to my busy-body wife who takes care of everything under siege after a party. But yours which couldn't be spared by my gluttonous grandchildren. Just a snap of finger everything is over without hassle!

  4. For a foodie, sometimes it's inevitable to deal with junk. For now, I probably have to leave it. Until I am satisfied and I hope that's soon. :) But to you, goodluck! That's a big step.

  11. Guilty (munching Oishi prawn crackers)!!! ONe of my resolutions this year is to be healthy so I can to reduce my junk foods intake. Unfortunately, after dining while watching TV or blogging, I have with me chips (or chocolate) and water :-(
You reminded me of my resolution - less junk food, discipline!

  12. Guilty of junk foods, too! I love chocolates, cakes, and donuts! They give me the "kick" whenever I need to perk myself up, especially when I need to stay awake the whole evening until the next morning. No to soda, coffee, and chips, though. :)

Last december I decided to start going to the gym and live healthy so then until now I'm making a change in my life just to go in the gym every morning. if you check out my photos i'm not fat or anything actually I'm totally slim even i though i got pregnant before and eat a lot of anything. I think its on my genes. BUt since I'm on a no carb diet I'm doing pretty good but still eating some junk foods as well. Redirecting Thoughts!

Sometimes, we forget to take control of our minds. There are times that we just do a lot of things out of habit. We do a lot of things unconsciously. These days, whenever I find myself “thinking”, I am making sure I am thinking productive things. What will I do next?; What are my plans today?;How will I go about today’s activities? If alone in the car, driving, I’d deliberately turn on the positive, encouraging radio station, since their kind of music is good for the soul. I could listen and know that it is all good. As much as possible, I try not to think of negative or bad things. Why? Because I’ve proven that whenever I do that, it boomerangs on me! There was this one time when I felt so pissed off with my husband that my mind was just creating all these negative vibes! Asked what happened next? The more my husband got pissed off. I wasn’t even saying anything, it was all mind power, and it hasn’t done any good! So I experimented the next time it happened, ins...

Vitamins for the Mind

Vitamins for the Mind   by Jim Rohn Results At the end of each day, you should play back the tapes of your performance. The results should either applaud you or prod you. The greatest form of maturity is at harvest time. This is when we must learn how to reap without complaint if the amounts are small and how to reap without apology if the amounts are big. Life asks us to make measurable progress in reasonable time. That's why they make those fourth grade chairs so small—so you won't fit in them at age 25! There are some things you don't have to know how it works, only that it works. While some people are studying the roots, others are picking the fruit. It just depends on which end of this you want to get in on.    "Vitamins for the Mind" is a weekly sampling of original quotes on a specific topic taken from The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn. The burgundy hardbound book with gold-foil lettering is a collection of...

Jack of All Trades

My parents gave me all the opportunities to try and do different activities while growing up. I did ballet. I had swimming lessons ; I joined theatre arts ; I had piano recitals ; I learned bicycling; I played volleyball; I was one of the editors in our school paper. I was even a member of University Quiz Bee contest called "Pautakan", representing our college for 3 years! In high school, I admired students who could do Impromptu Speeches. You see, I could memorize long scripts, I could compose essays but to speak my mind in a contest? Whoa! I guess, I carried that thought - wishful thinking with me, even after college, that it led me to become a member of Toastmaster's International in Makati, Philippines and then here in Gallup, NM, USA! Do I still know how to ballet dance? Mmmm... Lol! Swim? Mmmm... not where I can't touch the floor or sand, OK?  hehe Play piano? Mmmm... I can do two piano pieces? Will that count? hahaha Act? Oh yes! Could...
